Air pollution dispersion can be simulated using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) methods, even though, in most cases, other models (e.g., AERMOD or CALPUFF) specifically developed for air pollution applications are used. Examples of CFD applications are listed below.
The most useful CFD applications in air pollution seem limited to short range, complex studies, e.g., interactions with buildings, city canyons, plume rise. A review chapter in this field is included under Material as a PDF.
